Cultural Development Specialist - Jake King

kingj@gccs-nh.org

Jake King is a local business owner, parent of 4, former law enforcement and Army Ranger, an instructor of leadership development, positive mindset, and wilderness survival, and the director of multiple homeless shelters. He has served on several non-profit boards and his belief in Gate City Charter School drove him to join their board.

Jake owns East Coast Evolution Leadership and Thrive Outdoors, both based in Manchester NH and dedicated to individual, group, and agency cultural development. Both companies are committed to working with corporations at cost and using those funds to offer free programming to  youth agencies such as Big Brother Big Sister,  MPALs, Zebra Crossings, the YMCA, and the Boys and Girls Club.

As a father of 4 - two of which attend Gate City Charter School currently - Jake is dedicated to pushing for education that works for children, not for the system. His world is his children and making sure they have what they need to thrive.

Jake was born and raised here in Southern NH. Outside of a short stint in Florida as a kid and a longer stint outside of NH in the Army, his 50 years of life have been spent exploring the woods, mountains, shores, and abandoned places of New England. His favorite pastime is winter camping with his children and dogs.

Board and Organization duties:

Jake serves as the HR and Cultural development coordinator for the GCCSA Board and is thrilled with the opportunity to help bring them all together in strange and creative ways. He also provides hot dogs and pizza for some of the dances. Mostly because he likes hot dogs...
