Our latest Covid-19 Policies and Procedures
Latest Update: 03/01/2022
MASK-OPTIONAL POLICY:
Masks are encouraged as an optional mitigation strategy, especially in times of Substantial and Moderate Transmission. Each family/guardian may choose to have their student(s) attend school mask-optional/mask-free. However, parents/guardians also retain the right to have their students maintain mask usage throughout the school day.
Opt-Out Form
Parents/guardians must fill out an Opt-Out Form to indicate their intention to have their students attend school mask-optional/mask-free. Students without a completed Opt-Out Form will be expected to continue masking. An Opt-Out Form may be completed at any time.
The Opt-Out Form can be found here: https://forms.gle/vHrUBZNUQyWofLf46
Mask-Wearing Students
Students who continue masking will be given appropriate mask breaks. While students will not be required of students outdoors, parents/guardians may request that students continue to be masked during outdoor activities. Students should bring two masks to school every day, if at all possible, in case a change of mask is necessary. In the event of a mask breaking, improper fit, or destruction of mask(s), students will be provided a mask to utilize for the remainder of the day.
Talking to Your Students
Masking has been and continues to be a “sticking point” for many. At this moment, we have the opportunity to model for our students: respect, civility, and tolerance. In the end, we are doing what we understand to be best and right. And so are our fellow guardians/parents. The hard part is understanding how, if the goal is the same, can we possibly be taking such divergent paths to get there? There is no simple answer to that question. Perhaps, to move forward together, we simply strive to accept. With this in mind, here are a few recommendations made by mental health workers to discuss the upcoming changes with your students:
Every Wednesday is an early release day at 1:00 PM. We offer an after school program until 3:00 PM. $15.00/per week
